Some items will need to be stripped of paint and old chrome using special removal solutions compatible with the application that needs to be removed.
Then its time for a good clean with an industrial degreaser.
Some items will need to be stripped of paint and old chrome using special removal solutions compatible with the application that needs to be removed.
Then its time for a good clean with an industrial degreaser.
Next its time to fill and hide any defects. This is especially true for any older/vintage items that may be well used and have weathered over time.
Almost any items can be filled to hide any flaws they may have acquired during previous use.
Once filled, the item will be dried in our state of the art spray booth oven.
The item will need to be sanded down with a variety of different graded sandpaper.
Sometimes an orbital sander is required, another method is to use a sanding block, but a lot of our items are sanded by hand to enable us to get into all the tricky curved areas.
This is done until the area is super smooth and ready for the next process.
We use the best quality primer here at Chromefinish to enable the chrome spray finish to be perfection!
The primer is mixed in our mixing room and applied using a spray gun.
The item is then left to dry in the spray booth oven for some time before it needs another sand down prior to it being ready for inspection before the spray chrome process can begin.
